Delete your Moon account and data

Your Moon account is shared between Moon Cakes and Moon Bar. Deleting it permanently removes the shared account and its associated user data from both apps. Deletion cannot be undone.

Delete from Moon Cakes
Open Profile > Edit profile > Delete account, read the warning and complete the confirmation steps. You may be asked to sign in again to verify account ownership. The request is processed automatically; the app signs you out after accepting it. Guest users can also delete their guest account.

Request deletion on this website
If you cannot access the app, use the Request account deletion form below. Enter the email associated with your Moon account and complete the confirmation field. We may ask for information needed to verify ownership. Never send your password, payment card details or Apple/Google sign-in codes.
Administrator accounts use this request process so access and public catalog data can be reviewed safely.

What we delete
The shared account profile and associated email, personal recipes and saved copies, uploaded recipe/ingredient/profile photos, favorites, pantry inventory, shopping lists, preferences, MoonCoins balance and related account data are removed from Moon Cakes and Moon Bar. Deleted content and MoonCoins cannot be restored.

Subscriptions must be cancelled separately
Purchases are processed by Apple's App Store on iOS and Google Play on Android. Deleting your Moon account does NOT cancel an active store subscription or automatically issue a refund. Recurring billing can continue until you cancel it through the store. Please cancel any subscriptions before deleting your account.
App Store: open device Settings > your Apple Account > Subscriptions, or https://apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions
Google Play: open Play Store > profile > Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions, or https://play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions
Cancellation does not replace account deletion. You can request deletion immediately even if a paid subscription period has not expired.
Apple and Google keep their own payment and purchase-history records under their respective policies. Account deletion does not remove those store records.

Limited records that may remain
We may retain limited transaction, deletion-control and security records where necessary to verify purchases, prevent repeated claims or fraud, comply with legal obligations or resolve disputes. Purchase claims are unlinked from the deleted account. Records are limited to what is necessary for those purposes. Aggregated analytics that no longer identifies you may also remain.

Processing time
Requests made in the app start automatic deletion. Website requests are processed after ownership has been verified; we aim to complete verified requests within 30 days. Some limited records may be retained as described above.
